We have felt the passing of a legend. Through his writing Michael Jackson unlocked a new world and a new passion for me. I am grateful.

Michael had so much energy for beer and malt beverages, and was a genuinely nice person.
I got to meet him personally in 1994. It was at Big Time Brewery in Seattle, at 7 a.m., and he was leaving for the airport to go back to the U.K., and he still wanted to check out our beers for a possible new book project.
He gave us an honest assessment of our beers, had some coffee and chit-chat, and left. I still cherish the photo of all of us on that day.
